DO
YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE AN BAIL BOND AGENT FOR PDQ ENTERPRISES
BONDS LLC? The Denver, Colorado bail bond business
can be a very rewarding profession. We help people in
need and in turn are able to make a comfortable living.
In Colorado you must be appointed by an insurance company
licensed to write bail. PDQ Enterprises has contracted
with several insurance companies to contract with and
train individuals to be successful bail agents. Michael
Gray, our founder, has been licensed since 1978 and
has used that experience to train men and women to be
agents.
To be a Colrado bail bondsman, you should have the following
traits:
- The ability to market
yourself and your business - your
level of success will directly relate to how well
you can “market” your business
- $25,000 in verifiable
equity in real estate to serve as
collateral to guarantee your performance as a bail
agent. You are writing bail in the name of the insurance
company, and this reassures them that you will keep
their interests in mind.
- A healthy bank account
– as is true with any business, you need a good
cash cushion particularly when you are just getting
started. Most new businesses fail because they do
not have the finances to back them if a difficult
situation should arise.
- Good credit.
It’s just common sense - if you can’t
handle your own money, how can you handle the insurance
company’s money?
- A clean criminal
record. Colorado law states that you
can not have a felony conviction in the past 10 years,
nor can you be completing parole or probation for
a prior offense in that same time period. Any other
criminal offenses will be closely reviewed.
- A sincere desire
to help people. If you’re in
it for the money, your potential customers will be
able to tell, and you will have a hard time earning
trust and winning new customers for your business.
